A good news for cricket fans in England as Surrey will allow public to watch the match, becoming the country’s first professional sports club to do something like this since lockdown. The members of the Surrey Club will be granted permission to watch England’s Test series against West Indies in a bar at the Kia Oval, as per the reports in Daily Mail. However the entry for the members will be restricted, following the social- distancing and norms laid down by the club- management.
How many members will be allowed to watch England vs West Indies games?
According to the reports, about half-an-hour before the start of the first Test at the Ageas Bowl, Surrey will be opening the roof terrace bar in the 1845 Stand on 8th July. Numbers will be restricted to about 450 by the club 450 to ensure social distancing.
Surrey, Middlesex, Yorkshire, Lancashire are some of the counties are planning to organize friendly games in order to resume the sport of cricket in some capacity.
In addition, Surrey is planning to organize a two-day red-ball friendly against Middlesex next month.
